ACADEMIA
I am an award-winning teacher, offering courses on German literature, language and theatre at the University of Toronto, and I also direct the German student theatre, Theater DU. I received my PhD from the Ohio State University with a dissertation on the history of Turkish-German theatre and political cabaret. I have taught internationally at the Freie Universität, the University of New Mexico and the Goethe Institut in Thessaloniki, Greece. For much of my career, I have served as my department's associate chair of undergraduate studies.
